Hello, there! I’ve very honored you’re considering me to review your novel! I blog/bookstagram because of my love for books and I love being able to share my favorite books with others! However, I do work a full-time job during the day. So, when I do get a chance to read, my time is precious to me, and for you if you wish to contact me to review a book.
Please take the time to read over my policy before contacting me (information at the end)! <333
Books I will consider for review:
- YA fantasy
- YA science-fiction
- YA LGBTQ stories
- YA contemporary
- YA retellings (will be picky)
- YA dystopian (will be picky)
- YA historical fiction
- NA and Adult m/m romance
- Select m/f romance
Books I will not review:
I am happy to receive e-books and physical copies (ARC or hardcovers). I own a Kindle and I highly prefer e-books to already be formatted and in .mobi format. If there is a short time frame in which to read and review a book (for example, if it’s just one month before publication), I would highly prefer to read an e-book.
I do accept indie published and self-published books only for select NA and Adult m/m and m/f romance novels – not for YA novels.
I do not accept PDFs, Adobe Digital Editions (.ade files), or audiobooks.
What to Include When Contacting Me
- Book Title
- Book Summary
- High-Res Book Cover Image (if available)
- Publication Date
- Time frame of when you expect me to post the review by (so, two weeks before pub date, a month before pub date, etc.)
How I Review Books
I write in a fairly conversational style, but I do tend to be analytical with my reviews. Reviews are my thoughts alone and I do give negative reviews if I honestly did not agree with a book. I am respectful even with my critiques, but know that if you send me a book and I choose to read and review it, there is a possibility that the book may receive a negative review. Please browse through my blog for previous reviews if you wish to read some examples of my negative reviews. I typically do not rate books I do not finish (DNF).
My rating system is as follows:
5 stars – I LOVED the book, it probably made me cry, and I connected deeply with the characters. I will wind up purchasing the book and push everyone I know to read it.
4 stars – I liked the book. It has a few flaws, but I would still highly recommend it. I’ll definitely re-read this book and will most likely wind up buying it.
3 stars – Story just felt average. I probably didn’t connect with any of the characters, but the story is enjoyable enough to read.
2 stars – Somewhere along the way I went from loving the premise of the story to mentally critiquing the story every step of the way. It may have enough redeemable qualities where I could finish the book, but it took a while to finish.
1 star – There were too many problems in the book to overlook and there wasn’t anything I liked about it. I finished the book, but it was a pain to get to the end.
I am open to hosting author interviews, giveaways, and blog tours. For NA and Adult m/m romances, I am also open to promo blitzes.
I will post reviews on my blog, Goodreads, a short review and a book summary to Instagram with a pic of the book, and a link to the review on Twitter when the review goes up. I will post the review to Amazon on, or soon after, the book’s publication date.
I can be contacted via my Contact form on this blog, or through my email at email@example.com.
