SYNOPSIS

Dominance and submission mean different things to werewolves than to humans. Once Marsdon and Bennett try things the human way – nothing can ever be the same for them again.

Werewolf tradition is very clear. The alpha pair is the corner stone of the pack. Equality between the alphas is everything. Alphas mate with alphas.

Human leather clubs work to different rules. Dominants mate with submissives. Power is exchanged freely and for the ultimate pleasure of all. Sometimes the most alpha men in the club find happiness with the most omega men. And sometimes the omegas are more than they first appear to be.

A wolf might be able to hide his identity and play anonymously in those clubs for a little while, but he can’t ignore reality forever. Marsdon and Bennett have lives to get back to, they have packs to return to…they have wolfen traditions to follow.

They have just one more night together before they have to lose each other forever. All they can do now, is make the most of it.

It was interesting to read this book after reading Axel’s Pup. I feel like I’m going to comparing every books by this author by that book now because it was so good. This story is fine, but the only thing I wish is that it wasn’t a novella? I am coming around to loving wolf shifter stories, and is it bad that I just want more? Granted, this is the first of four stories, but they’re all only a little over 100 pages, and I wish that more could be explored with the characters because everything seemed rushed for the world that’s been built in this book.

Marsdon and Bennett are both alpha wolves. What this means is appearing strong in front of your pack and never showing weakness. The two are to be mated to strengthen their packs. However, before the two ever meet, Bennett has taken to being a submissive at a club, blindfolded, and does whatever Marsdon wants. They don’t know of each other’s true face and name, but enjoy their D/s scenes at the club each time they meet. When they face each other as alpha wolves, the dynamic changes. They know what they long for, but the role of an alpha conflicts with their wants.

In a very short, the author makes you fall in love with Marsdon and Bennett. My heart ached for them when they couldn’t be together. And when they were together, their scenes were so very hot. This is a relatively short BDSM story, but there’s a lot of emotion packed in, and I loved the characters. I’m definitely looking forward to reading the books in the rest of this series!
